The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of
Samsung Electronics (Pakistan )
Ltd. won prestigious accolades at the 8th Annual CSR Summit, held by the National Forum for
Environment & Health (NFEH), on 14th January 2016, at the Serena 
Hotel , Islamabad 
The ‘Business Head’ of Samsung’s Consumer Electronics
(CE) Division’ – Mr. Kyeong Hun Park, personally attended the 8th CSR Summit of NFEH, to receive these prestigious awards,
granted in the categories of ‘Public Health & Safety’, ‘Community
Development & Services’ and ‘Technology & Innovation’.
Samsung’s ‘Public Health and Safety’
initiatives include the donation of 2 hi-tech Echo-cardiography units and one
Ultrasound Color Doppler machine to Jinnah Hospital Karachi. Samsung is also
developing well equipped mobile health units, for the Punjab 
and KPK governments, to provid Free-of-Cost treatment to thousands of
underprivileged patients. Samsung’s ‘Technology & Innovation’ initiatives
include the support to a Technology Incubator named - ‘The Nest I/O’ for
nurturing talents and research. The ‘Community Development award recognizes
Samsung’s’ collaboration with ‘TEVTA’ to create 32 labs in Sind and Punjab
offering training courses for electronic appliances and Mobile 
technology.

The governing-body of the NFEH and the panel of
distinguished judges appreciated Samsung’s progressive vision being implemented
through contributions in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility. The
grand ceremony in Islamabad 
National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) is
committed to serve and promote the cause of healthcare, education and
protection the natural environment, by creating awareness in the society. It is
affiliated with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and supported by
the Federal and Provincial Ministries of Environment in Pakistan
